　　The Doll is an adaptation of the novel, The Doll (novel) by Bolesław Prus, which is regarded by many as one of the finest Polish novels ever written and, along with Pharaoh (novel), made Bolesław Prus a potential candidate for the Nobel Prize in literature. The influence of Émile Zola is evident, and some have compared the novel to Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert; both were Prus&♯39;s contemporaries. The movie, however, may be more compared to Stendhal&♯39;s Le Rouge et le Noir, (The Red and the Black).
　　The Doll constitutes a panorama of life in Warsaw between 1878 and 1879, and at the same time is a subtle story of three generations of Polish idealists, their psychological complications, their involvement in the history of the nineteenth century, social dramas, moral problems and the experience of tragic existence. At the same time this story describes the disintegration of social relationships and the growing separation of a society whose aristocratic elite spreads the models of vanity and idleness. In the bad air of a backward country, anti-Semitic ideas are born, valuable individuals meet obstacles on their way, and scoundrels are successful.
　　This poetic love story follows a nouveau riche merchant, Stanislaw Wokulski, through a series of trials and tribulations occasioned by his obsessive passion for an aristocratic beauty, Izabela Lecka, played by the famous Polish actress, Beata Tyszkiewicz.
　　Plot:
　　As a descendant of an impoverished Polish noble family, young Wokulski is forced to work as a waiter at Hopfer&♯39;s, a Warsaw restaurant, while dreaming of a life in science. After taking part in the failed 1863 Uprising against Tsarist Russia, he is sentenced to exile in Siberia. On eventual return to Warsaw, he becomes a salesman at Mincel&♯39;s haberdashery. Marrying the late owner&♯39;s widow (who eventually dies), he comes into money and uses it to set up a partnership with a Russian merchant he had met while in exile. The two merchants go to Bulgaria during the Russo-Turkish War of 1877-78, and Wokulski makes a fortune supplying the Russian Army. The enterprising Wokulski now proves a romantic at heart, falling in love with Izabela, daughter of the vacuous, bankrupt aristocrat, Tomasz Łęcki. In his quest to win Izabela, Wokulski begins frequenting theatres and aristocratic salons; and to help her financially distressed father, founds a company and sets the aristocrats up as shareholders in his business.The indolence of these aristocrats, who secure with their pensions, are too lazy to undertake new business risks, frustrates Wokulski. His ability to make money is respected but his lack of family and social rank is condescended to. Because of his "help" (in secret) to Izabela&♯39;s impecunious but influential father, the girl becomes aware of his affection. In the end she consents to accept him, but without true devotion or love.(wikipedia)

　　In the 19th century, a sadistic nobleman terrorizes the members of his family. He is found dead, but his ghost soon returns to haunt the residents of his castle.

　　American psychologist John Holden arrives in London to participate in a symposium aiming to expose witchcraft and devil-worship as a fraud, with attention centered on a cult run by a Julian Karswell. Debarking his plane, Holden learns that the symposium leader, Henry Harrington, has suddenly died and he is now in charge. What only the audience knows is that Harrington was clearly killed by a demon, apparently summoned by Karswell to avenge his persecution. Despite both threatening and cajoling behavior by Karswell, Holden determines to proceed, though the only cult member willing to talk about his experiences is in a prison psychiatric ward, catatonic after allegedly killing yet another cult member. However, Harrington&♯39;s niece, Joanna, believes, based on her uncle&♯39;s notes, that Karswell may indeed have some satanic powers derived from an ancient tome in an obscure language which he has been able to translate, and attempts to warn the skeptic Holden. Karswell&♯39;s mother also attempts to warn Holden off. However, the thing which begins to most get to Holden are the occasional, but mounting, sensory and mental disturbances he begins experiencing after an encounter with Karswell, and the discovery that, during this encounter, Karswell secretly slipped a slip of parchment with a curse in runic symbols on it into Holden&♯39;s belongings, a parchment identical to one Harrington recorded having had passed to him in a similar manner shortly before his death... 　　Dorottya is a young Hungarian actress with a burning desire: to make it on the English stage. Legendary actor Sir Michael Gifford suffers from an incurable disease, and has one desire: be left alone. When Dorottya becomes his carer they both hope their wish will be fulfilled.

　　布赖恩凭借出色的车技、和飞车党一起进行犯罪活动很快就赢得了卡特的信任，并和他成了好朋友。同时，另一名同为飞车党卧底的女警梦妮卡（伊娃•门德斯 Eva Mendes 饰）闯进了布赖恩的生活，布赖恩不知不觉中爱上了梦妮卡。梦妮卡已经获得了不少卡特的犯罪证据，但是她和卡特之间的暧昧关系却说不清道不明。

　　在深邃的太空中，一个宇航员回望地球，回忆起自己童年的时光，于是时间回到1946年。哈萨克斯坦的一个小镇上，很多人都喜欢养鸽子。这天，有一只从遥远的地方飞来的白鸽引起众人的目光，万尼亚把这只鸽子抓住了，立即招徕众人的嫉妒和仇恨。后来，鸽子还是被偷走了，万尼亚不忍心让这只白鸽成为灵魂阴暗的人的牺牲品，拼了命也要把鸽子找回来，终于白鸽重新回到了蓝天。

　　Five people spend the night in an abandoned house, the Amityville haunted house, and soon find themselves terrorized by assorted ghosts, venomous insects and ghostly apparitions.

　　本片题材具有强烈的社会意义，改编自约翰尼克尔斯的同名小说，描述新墨西哥州一个名叫乔的技工引入被当地一家土地开发公司所控制的水源来灌溉他那已乾枯的豆田，遭到非法使用的控告，因而引发了一连串乡民向不合理制度和企业强权抗争的冲突事件。

　　A special sideshow torture exhibit has the power, according to showman Dr. Diablo, to warn people of evil in their futures. As skeptical customers are shown the greed and violence they&♯39;re hiding, one of them snaps and kills Diablo. When they run off, we see the murder to be staged as part of the show. One of the customers has hung around to see this, and wants to make a deal with Diablo, aka the Devil.
　　A very good anthology of tales, written by Robert Bloch and directed by Freddie FRancis, for Amicus, an icon of this kind of movie. The tales are uneven, sure, but they are all at least good, till the perfect final one, the Man who collected Poe, with Jack Palance and Peter Cushing, a great idea, and a marvelous tale to watch. Very good Burgess Meredith as Diabolo the Great, the host for these tales. Unfortunately for us all, this kind of movies are a thing from the past and today we don&♯39;t get any more gems like this. A must see

　　司南（岛吾·德米尔考 Doğu Demirkol 饰）是一个土耳其男孩，刚刚从大学毕业的他正在准备出版自己的第一部小说。然而，出版小说需要启动资金，这是目前司南最缺乏的东西，无奈之下，他只得返回故乡恰纳卡莱省的乡下，在那里，居住着和司南久未联系的父亲伊德里斯（穆拉特·杰姆吉尔 Murat Cemcir 饰）。
　　司南本来有一个非常幸福的家庭，然而伊德里斯染上了赌博的恶习，这个恶习让他的家庭最终走向了分崩离析，这也是司南记恨自己父亲的最大原因。伊德里斯本来是一名德高望重的教师，赌博令他失去一切，还背负上了巨额债务，儿子的回归让伊德里斯不得不再度面对自己失败的过去。
