　　The Doll is an adaptation of the novel, The Doll (novel) by Bolesław Prus, which is regarded by many as one of the finest Polish novels ever written and, along with Pharaoh (novel), made Bolesław Prus a potential candidate for the Nobel Prize in literature. The influence of Émile Zola is evident, and some have compared the novel to Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert; both were Prus&♯39;s contemporaries. The movie, however, may be more compared to Stendhal&♯39;s Le Rouge et le Noir, (The Red and the Black).
　　The Doll constitutes a panorama of life in Warsaw between 1878 and 1879, and at the same time is a subtle story of three generations of Polish idealists, their psychological complications, their involvement in the history of the nineteenth century, social dramas, moral problems and the experience of tragic existence. At the same time this story describes the disintegration of social relationships and the growing separation of a society whose aristocratic elite spreads the models of vanity and idleness. In the bad air of a backward country, anti-Semitic ideas are born, valuable individuals meet obstacles on their way, and scoundrels are successful.
　　This poetic love story follows a nouveau riche merchant, Stanislaw Wokulski, through a series of trials and tribulations occasioned by his obsessive passion for an aristocratic beauty, Izabela Lecka, played by the famous Polish actress, Beata Tyszkiewicz.
　　Plot:
　　As a descendant of an impoverished Polish noble family, young Wokulski is forced to work as a waiter at Hopfer&♯39;s, a Warsaw restaurant, while dreaming of a life in science. After taking part in the failed 1863 Uprising against Tsarist Russia, he is sentenced to exile in Siberia. On eventual return to Warsaw, he becomes a salesman at Mincel&♯39;s haberdashery. Marrying the late owner&♯39;s widow (who eventually dies), he comes into money and uses it to set up a partnership with a Russian merchant he had met while in exile. The two merchants go to Bulgaria during the Russo-Turkish War of 1877-78, and Wokulski makes a fortune supplying the Russian Army. The enterprising Wokulski now proves a romantic at heart, falling in love with Izabela, daughter of the vacuous, bankrupt aristocrat, Tomasz Łęcki. In his quest to win Izabela, Wokulski begins frequenting theatres and aristocratic salons; and to help her financially distressed father, founds a company and sets the aristocrats up as shareholders in his business.The indolence of these aristocrats, who secure with their pensions, are too lazy to undertake new business risks, frustrates Wokulski. His ability to make money is respected but his lack of family and social rank is condescended to. Because of his "help" (in secret) to Izabela&♯39;s impecunious but influential father, the girl becomes aware of his affection. In the end she consents to accept him, but without true devotion or love.(wikipedia)

　　该片根据真人真事改编，故事发生在1890年9月的日本和歌山县串本町大岛的附近海域，来自土耳其的大使团乘坐的军舰发生沉船事故，船上618人跌入大海，导致五百多人丧生，共有69名幸存者在当地民众的营救下脱险。这一沉船救人事件，至今印刻在土耳其人民的心中。

　　影片叙述一个妓女和她的情人寻求拯救他们灵魂的道路，使他们从污泥中的儿女变成太阳下的儿女。当剧中的男主角鼓起勇气在象征邪恶的坏蛋脸上打了一个耳光以后，他们两人终于获得了他们所追求的目的。

　　RED RINGS OF FEAR (ENIGMA ROSSO), 1978, 85 min. Director Alberto Negrin wraps up the SOLANGE trilogy in this giallo where more sexually precocious schoolgirls bite the dust. Fabio Testi is the police inspector on the murderer’s trail, and Christine Kaufmann is his girlfriend. Chock-full of red herrings, perverse twists, sleazy situations, outrageous dialogue and an out-of-left-field climax, punctuated by Riz Ortolani’s groovy score.

　　一天，像往常一样，扎丽（Anahita Ne&♯39;mati 饰）投身于井井有条的工作和生活中，突然之间，一阵严重的腹痛袭击了她，令她不得不放下手中的一切，前往医院就医。根据医生诊断，扎丽患上了阑尾炎，需要进行阑尾切除手术，可是好巧不巧，扎丽的医保卡过期了，这也就意味着，如果她此时进行手术，她将付出许多额外的费用。
　　扎丽灵机一动，向好友蕾拉借来了医保卡，以蕾拉的身份完成了手术，在医疗记录上，被切除阑尾的不是扎丽而是蕾拉。然而，扎丽的这一举动引起了医护人员的怀疑，为了避免穿帮，扎丽和蕾拉暂时交换了身份，哪知道，这一个小小的举动，竟然为之后无穷无尽的麻烦埋下了祸根。

　　昭和38年，明石组系与神和会系两派发动的广岛战争愈演愈烈，期间不断有无辜市民遇害。受舆论和民众的巨大压力，警方动员所有力量，发动名为“顶上作战”的打击黑势力的行动。
　　广能昌三（菅原文太 饰）为壮大实力，说服中立派义西会会长冈岛友次（小池朝雄 饰）加入明石一派。同时，广能组干部河西清（八名信夫 饰）被刺，双方战争扩大化，袭击事件频发。明石组岩井（梅宫辰夫 饰）出计借河西葬礼之际集结西日本同盟，给山守组突然袭击。然计划被打本（加藤武 饰）泄漏，山守义雄（金子信雄 饰）向警方检举，广能被捕。之后广能组成员遇袭、冈岛被刺等一系列事件使明石一派处于劣势。但很快义西会干部藤田正一（松方弘树 饰）填补空缺，和山守组少壮派武田明（小林旭 饰）展开新一轮对抗。
　　而警方针对所有黑帮干部的行动也同时开始……

　　爱丽丝（朱丽安·摩尔 Julianne Moore 饰）是一位事业有成的大学语言学教授，和丈夫约翰（亚历克·鲍德温 Alec Baldwin 饰）结婚多年，感情一直十分要好，两人生养了三个孩子莉迪亚（克里斯汀·斯图尔特 Kristen Stewart 饰）、斐格利亚（凯 特·波茨沃斯 Kate Bosworth 饰）和汤姆（亨特·帕瑞施 Hunter Parrish 饰），每一个孩子都健康长大。
　　五十岁那年，爱丽丝遭遇了生命中最大的变故，起初，她只是发现自己的记忆力有些退化，随着时间的推移，这种退化越来越严重，经过医生的诊断，她患上了阿尔兹海默病。丰沛的感情，珍贵的记忆，睿智的思想，爱丽丝渐渐的失去了生命中重要的一切，然而，在家人的陪伴和鼓励下，她并没有失去活下去的希望，勇敢而又坚强的迎接新的一天。

　　顺正（竹野内丰 饰）是一名图画修复师，与恋人芽美（筱原凉子 饰）一起在意大利生活，但他常常会有莫名的空虚感。他十年前的一个女友Aoi（陈慧琳 饰）是一个中国留学生，在日本读书期间认识了顺正，两人因为误会而分开了，两人对彼此还是念念不忘。顺正在人来人往的街上看到了Aoi的身影，顺正发现自己一直存在的空虚感只有Aoi能够弥补。顺正决定到米兰寻找Aoi，到那里才知道Aoi已经是一名实业家马文（王敏德 饰）的女友，相遇后的两人，爱火再次擦出，更把之间误会化解了，他们会追随当年许下的誓约吗？
