　　自從開始上天主教慕道課以來，恪守教義的少女瑪麗亞便遠離了流行文化，抵抗撒旦化身的種種誘惑。長大之後，嚴厲的母親仍以絕對威權的方式，約束她的生活起居與交友狀況。虔誠的瑪麗亞不但努力達到要求，為了讓罹患自閉症的弟弟能開口說話，她暗自做了一個危險的決定。
　　《少女的歧禱》以工整完美的形式，呼應片中角色的極端行徑。全片十四則標題，借典自耶穌赴難的章回短篇；十四段長鏡頭，築架出儀式般的嚴謹結構，再再讓人聯想起一九五○年羅塞里尼執導的《聖法蘭西斯之花》。不同的是，本片看似冷靜側寫瑪麗亞追求信仰而犧牲奉獻的心路歷程，實則以強烈批判性的諷喻口吻，探討極端的信仰狂熱如何成為威權高壓統治的變種，魄力驚人。

　　The Doll is an adaptation of the novel, The Doll (novel) by Bolesław Prus, which is regarded by many as one of the finest Polish novels ever written and, along with Pharaoh (novel), made Bolesław Prus a potential candidate for the Nobel Prize in literature. The influence of Émile Zola is evident, and some have compared the novel to Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert; both were Prus&♯39;s contemporaries. The movie, however, may be more compared to Stendhal&♯39;s Le Rouge et le Noir, (The Red and the Black).
　　The Doll constitutes a panorama of life in Warsaw between 1878 and 1879, and at the same time is a subtle story of three generations of Polish idealists, their psychological complications, their involvement in the history of the nineteenth century, social dramas, moral problems and the experience of tragic existence. At the same time this story describes the disintegration of social relationships and the growing separation of a society whose aristocratic elite spreads the models of vanity and idleness. In the bad air of a backward country, anti-Semitic ideas are born, valuable individuals meet obstacles on their way, and scoundrels are successful.
　　This poetic love story follows a nouveau riche merchant, Stanislaw Wokulski, through a series of trials and tribulations occasioned by his obsessive passion for an aristocratic beauty, Izabela Lecka, played by the famous Polish actress, Beata Tyszkiewicz.
　　Plot:
　　As a descendant of an impoverished Polish noble family, young Wokulski is forced to work as a waiter at Hopfer&♯39;s, a Warsaw restaurant, while dreaming of a life in science. After taking part in the failed 1863 Uprising against Tsarist Russia, he is sentenced to exile in Siberia. On eventual return to Warsaw, he becomes a salesman at Mincel&♯39;s haberdashery. Marrying the late owner&♯39;s widow (who eventually dies), he comes into money and uses it to set up a partnership with a Russian merchant he had met while in exile. The two merchants go to Bulgaria during the Russo-Turkish War of 1877-78, and Wokulski makes a fortune supplying the Russian Army. The enterprising Wokulski now proves a romantic at heart, falling in love with Izabela, daughter of the vacuous, bankrupt aristocrat, Tomasz Łęcki. In his quest to win Izabela, Wokulski begins frequenting theatres and aristocratic salons; and to help her financially distressed father, founds a company and sets the aristocrats up as shareholders in his business.The indolence of these aristocrats, who secure with their pensions, are too lazy to undertake new business risks, frustrates Wokulski. His ability to make money is respected but his lack of family and social rank is condescended to. Because of his "help" (in secret) to Izabela&♯39;s impecunious but influential father, the girl becomes aware of his affection. In the end she consents to accept him, but without true devotion or love.(wikipedia)

精神抑郁的画家(齐木茂饰)在去下水道中寻找灵感的时候，意外发现了一条人鱼(染井真理饰)。而这条人鱼竟然是画家曾经在河中遇见过的。画家开始为人鱼作画，而此时才发现人鱼的腹部因为某种原因而溃烂。长满了大大小小的脓包和肉瘤，然后画家将人鱼带回家养在了浴缸里。画家买来药为人鱼治疗，但人鱼拒绝了。人鱼要求画家为自己作画，人鱼腹部的烂疮慢慢扩展到全身并进一步恶化。先是慢慢向人鱼的上身扩展，然后流出各种颜色的脓水，各种蛆虫，长短不一，五颜六色，伴随着黏液从人鱼身上的脓包中喷射而出，混成一团，布满了浴缸以及浴缸周围的地板。而浴缸里的水也呈现出一种复杂的颜色，甚至变的粘稠。最后，脓疮蔓延到人鱼的脸上，布满了整个半边脸，当然也会涌出脓水和蛆虫。此时的人鱼已经变成了令人作呕的怪物。最后人鱼开始呕吐，吐出来的也是蛆虫和粘稠的脓水。

这期间人鱼痛苦万分而画家则给予人鱼温情的关怀，帮人鱼挤脓，抽出身体里的蛆等等。而画家的画也伴随着人鱼的状况而改变，直到人鱼死去，画作也最终完成，一张布满五彩脓疮的脸。神情恍惚的画家肢解了人鱼，然而在人鱼的腹中竟然发现了一个婴儿。最后警察在画家邻居的举报下逮捕了画家 。

　　一名前冠军拳击手在去寻找失踪妹妹之时打响了她的生存之战。

　　Kim Dong - sik, a securities company employee, feels an inferiority when his wife &♯39;s business succeeds, and her position in the home becomes blurred and gradually wanders. 　　Ukrainian surgeon Serhiy is captured by the Russian military forces in the conflict zone in Eastern Ukraine and while in captivity, he is exposed to horrifying scenes of humiliation, violence and indifference towards human life. After his release, he returns to his comfortable middle-class apartment and tries to find a purpose in life by rebuilding his relationship with his daughter and ex-wife. He learns how to be a human being again, how to be a father and help his daughter, who needs his love and support.

　　亚娜（莱娜·克棱克 Lena Klenke 饰）是一名17岁的美丽少女，和其他同龄的女孩子不同，亚娜看上去非常的苍白安静，原来，亚娜患有先天性心脏病，无法从事任何激烈的运动，并且不知道哪一天、哪一个瞬间就会被死神夺走生命。
　　枯燥乏味的生活让亚娜感到非常的窒息，渐渐丧失了对生活的热情，直到有一天，她看到了纯种马奔跑的场面，这充满了生命力的场景让她的心情久久不能平息，亚娜爱上了赛马这项运动。保罗（迪特·哈勒沃登 Dieter Hallervorden 饰）是一名经验丰富的驯马师，他明白赛马对于亚娜来说有多么的重要，也在亚娜的身上看到了杰出的赛马天赋，可是，赛马是一项非常激烈的竞技运动，亚娜的身体能够负担的了吗？

　　年过四十的男人大黑静雄（堤真一 饰）突发奇想，辞去原本还算安稳的工作，决心寻找真实的自我。早年离异的静雄一直和父亲志郎（石桥莲司 饰）以及17岁的女儿铃子（桥本爱 饰）生活在一起，辞职后他散漫度日，从没画过画的他突然决定以漫画家身份出道。只不过无趣的题材接连遭到退稿，在打工的快餐店又经常被比自己年轻的前辈训斥。日常里，同样离异的上班族好友宫田修（生濑胜久 饰）以及同在快餐店打工的问题青年市野泽秀一（山田孝之 饰）是陪他共同买醉的朋友。看不到未来的静雄，今朝有酒今朝醉，确实可以期盼出道的那一天……
　　本片根据漫画家青野春秋的同名原作改编。
