　　这部以BRESSON的电影风格为主题的记录片，是对这位法国银幕书写者的一次献礼。在他极度克制的作者电影里，感性的个体（有时是动物），他们无力的不断尝试着在这个痛苦的世界里的生存。记录片以明确的主题分为数个段落：“电影” “理论”。这些主题由BRESSON，TARKOVSKY，MALLE，SCHRADER（作家，著有上述三位导演的学术论本）的访谈片段拼示而出。 学识与体验展示在这些话语间，而54分钟的长度对这位伟大导演而言未免过短了。

　　叙述一位英国绅士Anthony Ross 爵士为了寻找失踪多年的儿子，于是他筹组了一支探险队展开行动，他的儿子当初是去寻找北极一带火山谷一个传说中的古老维京人部落，结果从此音讯全无，心急如焚的父亲因此才想尽办法组织探险队进行搜寻任务，这支队伍包括一位美国籍的考古学家、一位法籍发明家、一位追踪者以及英国企业家等等，当他们逼近目的地的时候，却意外闯入一个被时间遗忘的失落世界！这世界里有仍过着十世纪生活的维京人、火山爆发、鲸鱼墓场…等等，在这一连串的冒险当中，面对希望秘密永远被埋藏的那一群维京人，探险队面临到很难全身而退的危险局面！

　　本片题材具有强烈的社会意义，改编自约翰尼克尔斯的同名小说，描述新墨西哥州一个名叫乔的技工引入被当地一家土地开发公司所控制的水源来灌溉他那已乾枯的豆田，遭到非法使用的控告，因而引发了一连串乡民向不合理制度和企业强权抗争的冲突事件。

　　昭和初年，私家偵探魚塚被一老婦人委託調查被綁架女兒的下落。偵探追查下去，卻發現事件和一部消失了的電影《永遠的謎》有關，這部電影比號稱日本最早起用女性演員，歸山敎正的《生之光輝》更早有女演員表演，但被警察禁映而消失。鏡頭跟著主角深入淺草的遊樂區，探索默片年代的戲院，解說的辯士、現場配樂的樂隊、放映前的雜耍表演，當年的電影是很「綜合」的娛樂…… 完全和電影業無關的新人導演林海象一鳴驚人的處女作，比《星光夢裏人》早近三十年採用仿默片的拍法，全部黑白攝影，人物對白全部用字幕卡代替，聲軌只有配樂、效果音等，引領觀眾暢遊世紀初的夢工場。

　　Professor Brian Cox visits some of the most stunning locations on earth to describe how the laws of nature have carved natural wonders across the solar system.
　　In this first episode Brian explores the powerhouse of them all, the sun. In India he witnesses a total solar eclipse - when the link to the light and heat that sustains us is cut off for a few precious minutes.
　　But heat and light are not the only power of the sun over the solar system. In Norway, Brian watches the battle between the sun&♯39;s wind and earth, as the night sky glows with the northern lights.
　　Beyond earth, the solar wind continues, creating dazzling aurora on other planets. Brian makes contact with Voyager, a probe that has been travelling since its launch 30 years ago. Now 14 billion kilometres away, Voyager has just detected the solar wind is beginning to peter out. But even here we haven&♯39;t reached the end of the sun&♯39;s rule.
