《风间公亲-教场0 -》相当于《教场》系列的前传，讲述了木村扮演的主人公·风间公亲担任刑事指导官时期的故事。在延续最终回之后的特别篇中，堀田真由饰演的事务员·伊上幸叶制作了迷你积木模型，并回顾了至今为止发生的事件和各话的小插曲。

　　The Doll is an adaptation of the novel, The Doll (novel) by Bolesław Prus, which is regarded by many as one of the finest Polish novels ever written and, along with Pharaoh (novel), made Bolesław Prus a potential candidate for the Nobel Prize in literature. The influence of Émile Zola is evident, and some have compared the novel to Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert; both were Prus&♯39;s contemporaries. The movie, however, may be more compared to Stendhal&♯39;s Le Rouge et le Noir, (The Red and the Black).
　　The Doll constitutes a panorama of life in Warsaw between 1878 and 1879, and at the same time is a subtle story of three generations of Polish idealists, their psychological complications, their involvement in the history of the nineteenth century, social dramas, moral problems and the experience of tragic existence. At the same time this story describes the disintegration of social relationships and the growing separation of a society whose aristocratic elite spreads the models of vanity and idleness. In the bad air of a backward country, anti-Semitic ideas are born, valuable individuals meet obstacles on their way, and scoundrels are successful.
　　This poetic love story follows a nouveau riche merchant, Stanislaw Wokulski, through a series of trials and tribulations occasioned by his obsessive passion for an aristocratic beauty, Izabela Lecka, played by the famous Polish actress, Beata Tyszkiewicz.
　　Plot:
　　As a descendant of an impoverished Polish noble family, young Wokulski is forced to work as a waiter at Hopfer&♯39;s, a Warsaw restaurant, while dreaming of a life in science. After taking part in the failed 1863 Uprising against Tsarist Russia, he is sentenced to exile in Siberia. On eventual return to Warsaw, he becomes a salesman at Mincel&♯39;s haberdashery. Marrying the late owner&♯39;s widow (who eventually dies), he comes into money and uses it to set up a partnership with a Russian merchant he had met while in exile. The two merchants go to Bulgaria during the Russo-Turkish War of 1877-78, and Wokulski makes a fortune supplying the Russian Army. The enterprising Wokulski now proves a romantic at heart, falling in love with Izabela, daughter of the vacuous, bankrupt aristocrat, Tomasz Łęcki. In his quest to win Izabela, Wokulski begins frequenting theatres and aristocratic salons; and to help her financially distressed father, founds a company and sets the aristocrats up as shareholders in his business.The indolence of these aristocrats, who secure with their pensions, are too lazy to undertake new business risks, frustrates Wokulski. His ability to make money is respected but his lack of family and social rank is condescended to. Because of his "help" (in secret) to Izabela&♯39;s impecunious but influential father, the girl becomes aware of his affection. In the end she consents to accept him, but without true devotion or love.(wikipedia)

　　American psychologist John Holden arrives in London to participate in a symposium aiming to expose witchcraft and devil-worship as a fraud, with attention centered on a cult run by a Julian Karswell. Debarking his plane, Holden learns that the symposium leader, Henry Harrington, has suddenly died and he is now in charge. What only the audience knows is that Harrington was clearly killed by a demon, apparently summoned by Karswell to avenge his persecution. Despite both threatening and cajoling behavior by Karswell, Holden determines to proceed, though the only cult member willing to talk about his experiences is in a prison psychiatric ward, catatonic after allegedly killing yet another cult member. However, Harrington&♯39;s niece, Joanna, believes, based on her uncle&♯39;s notes, that Karswell may indeed have some satanic powers derived from an ancient tome in an obscure language which he has been able to translate, and attempts to warn the skeptic Holden. Karswell&♯39;s mother also attempts to warn Holden off. However, the thing which begins to most get to Holden are the occasional, but mounting, sensory and mental disturbances he begins experiencing after an encounter with Karswell, and the discovery that, during this encounter, Karswell secretly slipped a slip of parchment with a curse in runic symbols on it into Holden&♯39;s belongings, a parchment identical to one Harrington recorded having had passed to him in a similar manner shortly before his death... 　　故事发生在1870年的英国，奇普斯（罗伯特·多纳特 Robert Donat 饰）来到布鲁菲学校，成为了那里的一名老师。因为年轻气盛加上没有经验，奇普斯和学生们的关系并不是太好，在学校里他始终都默默无闻。一晃眼二十年过去了，这样的情况依然没有改善。
　　一次偶然中，奇普斯在 前往奥地利旅游的途中邂逅了名为凯蒂（葛丽亚·嘉逊 Greer Garson 饰）的女子，温柔美丽的凯蒂深深吸引了奇普斯的注意，两人坠入了情网。凯蒂的柔情与浪漫让奇普斯坚硬冰冷的心渐渐融化，在和恋人相处的过程中，奇普斯也开始悟出了和学生的相处之道。之后，奇普斯在学校里步步高升最终坐上了校长的位子。

　　优实在大学读设计专业。有一天，她发现自己怀孕了。她的男朋友名叫直哉，二人因设计戏剧宣传单结缘。直哉有时拒绝采取避孕措施，但优实并不能确定他是否就是孩子的父亲，并为此十分烦恼。然而，随着直哉逐渐试图接受现实，二人却愈发两歧遂分。

　　乔治城原是一平静小镇，但忽然发生数起离奇凶杀案，而且尸首上都出现宗教仪式的钉痕；更残酷的是：凶手使用电击药品，使被害人造成麻□叫不出来；但被害过程的极限痛楚，仍有知觉！被害人自天真无邪的孩童到与世无争的神父均无一幸免，使得小镇人心惶惶，深恐惨遭毒手！乔治城的警长比尔，不断回想起十几年前被恶魔附身之神父戴明跳楼自杀的悲剧，但是不解：恶魔应该随著神父的牺牲而消灭，怎么可能又复出作祟？

　　·布拉德·道里夫扮演了一个在狱中的角色，当他被问及如何在不被察觉下进出监狱时，他答道：“It&♯39;s child&♯39;s play”。这句话在暗指他曾为1988年的《Child&♯39;s Play》(灵异入侵)、1990年的《Child&♯39;s Play 2》(鬼娃回魂2)和1991年《Child&♯39;s Play 3》(灵异入侵少年军团)中的Chucky配音。
　　·影片灵感来自于闻名全美国的连环杀手The Zodiac。
　　·片中大学校长说他最喜欢的电影是1958年的《变蝇人》，而扮演校长的Lee Richardson出演了1989年的《变蝇人2》。
　　·影片编导威廉·彼得·布拉蒂(William Peter Blatty)曾希望片名能与他的小说《Legion》同名，在他的反对下，片名最终仍被定为“The Exorcist III”。
　　·最初本片中并没有Jason Miller加盟，实际上，卡拉斯神父的死尸是由布拉德·道里夫扮演，当时的场景是乔治C·斯科特正在手术台上检查神父的尸体。在试映之后，制片人决定影片中应该出现1973年《驱魔人》中的演员，于是威廉·彼得·布拉蒂重写了剧本，Jason Miller扮演了卡拉斯神父。
