　　Two years after the murder of his son and father, a retired hitman sets in motion a carefully crafted revenge plan against the killer: his own brother.

　　39岁的布伦南•哈夫（威尔•法瑞尔 Will Ferrell 饰）无业，一直在母亲南希（玛丽•斯汀伯根 Mary Steenburgen 饰）家蹭吃蹭住。40岁的戴尔•多巴克（约翰•赖利 John Reilly 饰）也是个与父亲罗伯特（理查德•詹金斯 Richard Jenkins 饰）住在一起的大龄男，靠父亲的接济生活。南希与罗伯特一见钟情，婚后搬入罗伯特家居住，布伦南也随母亲一起搬入，从此被迫以继兄弟的身份与戴尔同处一室。二人从相互敌视逐渐成为最佳拍档，共同对付布伦南的优秀弟弟德里克（亚当•斯科特 Adam Scott 饰），玩闹得不亦乐乎。可没想到他们的胡作非为却毁了父母刚建立起来的美满婚姻，二人后悔万分，终于决定痛改前非……

　　《特别市民》讲述了玩弄权力竞选三度连任的现任首尔市长卞钟九，在与罗美兰饰演的竞选对手梁珍珠争夺市长之位的过程中发生的故事，影片直指韩国政坛的丑陋一面。

　　以处女作《性、谎言、录影带》一举成名的新进导演史蒂文．索达伯格，在接下来的作品中出人意料地选择了一个十分冷门的题材，从小孩子的角度来反映三十年美国经济崩溃时期的贫民生活是如何刻苦艰辛熬过来的。剧本根据美国作家A．E．贺契纳的童年回忆改编，主人翁是小学生，其父是推销员，其母生病住院休养，弱弟弟被逼送到亲戚家寄养。他一个人住在小旅馆中，依靠朋友的帮忙和自已的随机应变来应付三餐不继的生活。全片并无完整故事，但导演透过一些生动的细节描写和演员的生动演出重塑出一个特殊的时代，童星杰西．布拉德福德长得十分英俊可爱，表现也出奇的精彩。

　　"Falsely accused as the murderer of my own husband... Oh, the cruel machinations of fate!" A female teacher (Lee Yong-ae) gives shelter to an escaped convict, but her husband, misconstruing her intentions, reacts violently and accidentally stabs himself to death in the process. The teacher is charged with her husband&♯39;s murder, but fortunately the prosecutor on the case is a former student of hers, of whom she had taken painstaking care when she was working at an elementary school. Remembering her kindness to him, the prosecutor uncovers her innocence in court, and she is acquitted of the crime.

　　A Public Prosecutor and a Teacher is familiar to us for the performance of Shin Chool, Korea&♯39;s last silent movie narrator (known as "byeonsa"in Korean). Numerous critics have recommended the film, praising it as "a silent movie that allows us to examine the narrator-accompanied method of 16mm films" (Chung Jong-wha), "the work of Korea&♯39;s last silent movie narrator" (Kim Hong-joon), a movie that "reflects the public&♯39;s consciousness and has great historical value" (Lee Seung-hun), and "the archetypal new-school film" (Chung Sung-il). As evidenced by such commentary, A Public Prosecutor and a Teacherenjoys greater recognition for its historical value as the only surviving silent movie in Korea than for its artistic or technical aspects. What is ironic is the fact that this recognition derivesfrom a production and screening method that fell behind the times, as sound films (or "talkies") had already become the norm when the movie was first made. Its inclusion in the list is therefore based on its historical, social context rather than on the film itself.

　　新兴宗教团体“美丽人生（Life is Beautiful）”，第三代教主吉川路易（藤原龙也 饰）风流倜傥，言辞极具煽动性。在一个醉酒的夜晚，路易搭乘酒吧结识的神秘美女流美（水原希子 饰）的汽车，对方的身份却让他着实一惊。未久，飞驰的跑车在某隧道内与一辆机车惨烈相撞。对方当场死亡，流美重伤昏迷不醒，路易则只受轻伤，逃过一劫。在此之后，教主的姐姐樱（原田麻由 饰）安排弟弟去南方某个小岛暂避风头，并雇用新野（松田龙平 饰）等三名保镖护卫路易的安全。与死神擦肩而过的路易切身感到生死无常，他试图解散教团，却遭到以母亲（大楠道代 饰）为首的一众高层强烈反对。

　　昭和初年，日本电影业正处在蒸蒸日上的时节。群星璀璨，名匠辈出，人人为电影狂热。
　　在浅草帝国电影院卖香烟水果的女孩小春（有森也实 饰）清新秀丽，并且秉承了演员父母的表演天赋。她出众的形象很快为名导小仓（すまけい 饰）发现，最终将其带入了蒲田摄影所。
　　当然，表演的道路十分艰辛，小春起初只能演一些没有台词的小角色，并且经常因演技受到导演的斥责。伤心的小春一度萌生退意，但在家人和副导演岛田（中井貴一 饰）的鼓励下，她又重新走入片场。努力的小春不断磨练演技，同时得到与众多名导合作的机会。随着蒲田当家花旦川岛澄江（松坂庆子 饰）的失踪，小春终于得到了演艺生涯中第一个重要的角色——电影《浮萍》中的女主角……
